Two British-Bangladeshi journalists --- Mr. Milton Rahman, Head of News, Bangla TV and Mr. Saiyem Chowdhury, Executive Editor of weekly Janomot, have become the first two to be selected for the "Amar Jonmobhumi" project of the Bangladesh High Commission, London.
The two were selected after a review of applications by Mr. A K M Shameem Chowdhuri, Principal Information Officer (PIO), PID, Ministry of Information, Dhaka and the Minister (Press) of the Bangladesh High Commission, London, Mr. Nadeem Qadir.
The two were presented with official invitation letters and return tickets to Dhaka on Thursday (01 November 2016), along with Novo Air sponsored couple tickets for Cox's Bazar and Sylhet. The Seagull Hotel in Cox's Bazar will host them in the beach town for two nights.
IPE developments, a leading developer in Britain owned by a British-Bangladeshi, is the main sponsoring partner of the "Amar Jonmobhumi" project of the high commission's press wing by offering London-Dhaka-London tickets and a three-night accommodation in Dhaka Club.
Conceived by Mr. Nadeem Qadir, Minister (Press) in cooperation with the Ministry of Information, the project offers the two journalists meeting with important government leaders, reception by the National Press Club, visit to media houses and places of interest.
In a brief ceremony at the High Commission, Mr. Qadir said he was delighted to see the programme take off and wished Mr. Milton Rahman and Mr. Saiyem Chowdhury a very memorable trip as the guests of the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Mr. Qadir thanked the sponsors, especially IPE Developments, for their promise to continue the project over the years.

Mr. Saiyem and Mr. Milton thanked Mr. Qadir for starting this project and said they were confident it would help bridges and showcase Bangladesh positively.
